This issue of Global Outlook takes its most comprehensive look yet at the causes and consequences of 9/11, comparing it to the latest atrocity, the London bombings of July 7 (7/7). It is now clear that much more was going on behind the scenes, in both cases, than was first imagined. This issue also aims to distill the most relevant, the most hard-hitting and sometimes the most explosive revelations that have come out of the many citizen-organized investigations into 9/11 over the last four years.
The 9/11 Truth Movement
None of us wants to relive the horrors of September 11. Yet the relentless exploitation of this terrible tragedy by President Bush and Prime Minister Blair continues to traumatize and manipulate us. Why then do we publish a magazine which revisits these watershed events in such detail? Because there is a growing army of truth seekers across this planet who are not at all satisfied with the so-called official story of 9/11 – which Bush and Blair and their corporate media partners trumpet daily.
We call ourselves the 9/11 Truth movement. We believe that the official 9/11 story is a lie – a cover-up to conceal massive corruption in our governments, truly horrific in its implications. Our movement has assembled an enormous body of evidence that completely contradicts the ‘official story’. (See some of the accumulating evidence pp. 80-89.) Since the highest office in our democracy is the office of citizen, it is our job to stop this fraud and all its corruption, before we reach the point of no return.
The Empire Strikes Back
Despite all our evidence, the corporate media have largely ignored us – that is, until recently. Over the last year, at least five targeted ‘hit pieces’ have surfaced in the US mainstream. This indicates that our movement is making enough of an impact for at least some of the complicit media to become concerned about our growing numbers. Our cover story, by Jim Hoffman, squares off with the most prominent of these, published in Popular Mechanics of all places. Remember what Gandhi once said, "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." If that is so, then we are three-quarters of the way there. State-Sponsored Terrorism
What we witnessed – for sure on 9/11, and most likely on 7/7 – was ‘state-sponsored terrorism’– that is, covert operations directed against us by our own governments. (For why we think so, see pp. 3-7.) Their objective is to force our acquiescence to (as Dick Cheney puts it) "a war that will not end in our lifetime" and repressions we would never otherwise tolerate. The sooner this is realized by a critical mass of humanity, the sooner we will be able to stop this nonsense.
The DC Emergency Truth Convergence
On July 22, many of us in the Truth movement met in Washington at the "DC Emergency Truth Convergence" (www.truthemergency.us) which brought together 9/11 activists, media reform people, votescam organizations, and others from around the world concerned about exposing ‘invisible government’ corruption. I met personally with most of our major contributors to this issue including Cynthia McKinney, Sibel Edmonds and, in particular, David Ray Griffin, who proposed the following strategy for the 9/11 Truth movement.
Griffin’s 9/11 Truth Strategy
The key thing to do right now is to focus on the lack of credibility of The 9/11 Commission Report – here’s why:

The news media and the general public have accepted the 9/11 Report (now one year old) as definitive. Before people will pay attention to our accounts of what really happened on 9/11, we need to show – not merely say – that The 9/11 Commission Report is basically false. Otherwise they will dismiss us as ‘conspiracy theorists’ in the worst sense of the word.2.
Mainstream reporters will be more likely to cover the glaring omissions and distortions within the 9/11 Report than deal directly with the question of whether or not the Bush administration was complicit in 9/11 to advance its own agenda.3.
If it becomes widely known that the 9/11 Commission has told even a few lies, this awareness would clearly suggest that it and the corporate media are trying to cover up something ... and if so, what?
‘The Truth is on the March and Nothing can Stop it.’
Emile Zola was one of the world’s premier truth activists. In 1881 he single-handedly took on a corrupt French military. His famous letter "J’Accuse" landed him in public court on libel charges for which he was convicted. However, it served his purpose – that of airing the Dreyfus affair, involving a wrongfully convicted soldier, banished to Devil’s Island for espionage. Years later, in 1902, Zola was hailed as a hero when the French government welcomed him and Dreyfus home while at the same time dismissing most of its top brass.
Zola’s example demonstrates how government corruption (which the 9/11 fraud has uncovered in our day) can be exposed and purged by the citizenry. So, roll up your sleeves and join the most meaningful struggle for truth, justice, liberty and peace in the entire history of our planet.
