South of the Border

There’s a revolution underway in South America, but most of the world doesn’t even know it. 3. In 1985, a young South African named Mikhuseli Jack led a successful campaign against Apartheid.

4. In April of 1940, Danish resistors undermined Nazi Germany's objectives using sabotage and strikes

5. In 1980, Lech Walesa, a human rights activist, led a successful strike demanding independent unions in Communist Poland.

6. In 1983, Chilean workers used non-violent protests successfully against military dictator Gen. Augusto Pinochet.
